Our Product Story

These earrings feature the off white glass topped "X" and "O" keys from an antique Underwood typewriter. No reproduction or letter pressed keys. The keys are each mounted on antique silver rope bezels and suspended from faceted black onyx rondelle Czech glass beadwork. They are hung from steel hypo-allergenic french hooks.

Earring keepers provided. Length: Approximately 1 1/2" from ear.

The Key of A uses only authentic typewriter keys that are removed from machines dating back to the early 1900s from brands such as Woodstock, Underwood, Smith Corona, Royal, Remington and L.C. Smith. Each key is grinded, cleaned and polished to preserve its natural patina. And because all of the keys used for our jewelry and accessories are authentic, they may have slight imperfections which only add to their vintage character.
