The Key of A Story

My love of vintage and antique began many years ago with the restoration of my first home.  I found a love of the old stately furniture, detailed linens, intricate jewelry and beautiful glassware.  Collecting of antiques became a passion over the next decade with my love of repurposing, refinishing and recycling anything that caught my eye when shopping at an antique store, or attending an auction or tag sale.

Today, The Key of A has far exceeded the competition when it comes to utilizing authentic typewriter, cash register and skeleton keys.  With an artist’s eye, The Key of A carefully chooses only those components that are suitable for use with authentic typewriter, cash register and skeleton keys.

Beautiful filigrees and pendants from dies dating back to the late 1880’s, genuine stones such as turquoise and Swarovski in colors that perfectly complement the keys, and wonderfully coordinated components and findings in antiqued silver and brass, the jewelry and accessories created by The Key of A take the vintage inspired looks of the past and creates fashion forward styles and designs that are both functional and wearable today while always being mindful of the era from which the keys originally came.
