We pride ourselves in offering to you only authentic keys and genuine, reclaimed vintage objects. All of them carry a mysterious past that is renewed again in our fashion forward designs. We search out the best in antique silver and brass components & our beads and stones are genuine, nothing reproduced or acrylic. Collectively, this translates into truly one of a kind upcycled, vintage-inspired, artistically designed jewelry that you won't find anywhere else.
Being Green
The Key of A is committed to the environment. We properly recycle all typewriters and cash registers; parting them out and/or selling them to restorers for use in restoration of other machines. All of our packaging is produced from recycled materials. We believe in the four R's:
REUSE, REDUCE, RECYCLE, REPURPOSE!
The Key of A specializes in the reclaiming of all types of authentic keys from the turn of the century — typewriter, cash register, skeleton
and ivory piano keytops —and upcycling them into beautiful vintage inspired, fashion forward jewelry and accessories. Of recent, we are salvaging other interesting "refound objects" and creatively upcycling them as well into our designs, all with an eye to the era from which they came. Components such as chandelier parts, railway/transit tokens, bullet casings and fountain pen nibs are just some examples.
